Ashley Farrell: Music
Cover Girl
I wrote this song while I was in college. I was still tryin to "find myself" as far as style goes. I wore all types of clothing (hippie, punk, skater, etc) and had dyed my hair an array of colors. But, I realized that it was ok to have an evolving style and to like a mulitude of things. I definitely did not look like someone out of a magazine, but I was happy with who I was and I knew what I liked. God looks at our heart, and our appearance should reflect the person He's created us to be, not what the media tells us we should look like. Embrace your individuality, and be comfortable in who God created you to be. You are beautiful!

I don't like being stared at, but I hate to be ignored.
I feel I'm always waiting, but I never know what for.
I guess you could say that I'm confused.
I'm just too easily amused.
I guess you could call me unusual.
But you don't know the way I think.
You don't know what makes me smile.
You don't know the way I cry and you don't know why.
You don't like the clothes I wear.
Well, that's just me and I don't care.
Diversity shapes this world.
So what if I'm no "Cover Girl"?
You say I need to grow up and stop acting like a child.
But I just want to have fun and make my life worth while
I guess you could say that I'm confused.
I'm just too easily amused.
I guess you could call me unusual.
CHORUS
What if my words don't rhyme?
What if I sing out of time?
I just want to be me.
I guess you could say that I'm confused.
I'm just too easily amused.
I guess you could call me unusual.
CHORUS
